potofsoup had an idea about spreading reblogs via textarea tags to save time on formatting. I think it's a bit too much work for the original poster at the moment, maybe it could be improved.

Yeah, I'm pretty ambivalent about it. On the one hand, having the username attribution and the post pre-linked seems pretty handy. On the other hand, it seems kind of presumptuous, to be pre-writing the snippet for someone else's reblog. Maybe just preformatted username and post link, like:

<user name="potofsoup">: "<a href="https://potofsoup.dreamwidth.org/9316.html">Using textarea to facilitate reblog</a>"

Which generates:
potofsoup: "Using textarea to facilitate reblog"
