Yeah, I'm pretty ambivalent about it. On the one hand, having the username attribution and the post pre-linked seems pretty handy. On the other hand, it seems kind of presumptuous, to be pre-writing the snippet for someone else's reblog. Maybe just preformatted username and post link, like:

<user name="potofsoup">: "<a href="https://potofsoup.dreamwidth.org/9316.html">Using textarea to facilitate reblog</a>"

Which generates:
potofsoup: "Using textarea to facilitate reblog"
